On the 28th, SK Rent-a-Car (CEO: Hwang Il-moon) announced that the Company had secured on the top position in the car rental category of the 2024 Korean Standard Well-Being & Environment Index for 13 consecutive years.
The Korean Standard Well-Being & Environment Index (KS-WEI) is the only index system in Korea dedicated to evaluating consumer well-being satisfaction. Developed in collaboration between the Korean Standards Association (KSA) and Yonsei University, this index assesses how products and services impact consumer well-being across five index elements: health, environment, safety, satisfaction and social responsibility. It identifies top-ranking entities in each industry category based on their scores in well-being satisfaction.
SK Rent-a-Car's consistent No.1 ranking in the car rental category for 13 consecutive years reflects its commitment to enhancing customer value. The company has been praised for its strategy of segmenting car rental offerings to meet the evolving needs of customer with diverse mobility lifestyles.
Launched last October, 'Monthly Rental,' is a prime example that differentiates SK Rent-a-Car from competitors. This online-exclusive product was introduced in response to evolving customer needs, shifting from focusing solely on 'car type' to also considering 'usage period.' Unlike typical long-term car rentals that typically require a commitment for a year, Monthly Rental allows customers the flexibility to rent for a short period, on a monthly basis as needed.
